Acorn & Ash

Acorn and Ash arrived in our care in September. They had been found in a box on a busy main road and were absolutely petrified. We moved the boys into a foster home where they could learn to trust people. Overtime they developed in confidence and we have had them both castrated. They are 6 months old now, have double in size since they arrived but are still quite petite for boars. This is what their foster family have to say about them:

‘Acorn (brown) and Ash (grey) are a lively pair, who love nothing more than zooming round their pen together and popcorning all over the place. They also love to hide in cardboard boxes and mountains of hay. Every morning and evening they impatiently wait for their food wheeking away together. They will happily take food from your hand and try to steal food from each other. Like most piggies they don’t like to be picked up but once held they will calm down.’

The boys currently live in an indoors in large accommodation that gives them plenty of floor space (approximately 180cm x 60cm or 6ft x 2). They need the same sized home with lots of hidey huts and enrichment. They love their veggies and hay! They have come on such a long way and we can’t wait to see them move on to their forever to complete their rescue journey. Please call 0161 737 6600 or email to meet them.
