About Bertie

Breed: Angora Age: 2 months (approx) Sex: Male

Bertie is a super fluffy angora lop eared boy who we estimate was born around 18th March. He came from somewhere that was breeding rabbits that were living in poor conditions.

What you see is what you get with Bertie. He is a simple boy who loves food, fusses and cuddles in that order. He is really easy to handle, really co-operative when being groomed and is just an all round brilliant bunny who loves attention from you and his siblings. He really is happy-go-lucky and every bit as adorable as he looks (some may say a little dim, but doesn’t that make him even more lovable?).

Bertie has had his first vaccination for myxo and RHD1. When old enough the branch will fund the RHD2 vaccination and cost of neutering (up to £100). Bertie is very fond of his sister Mabel. Whilst we cannot guarantee that they will remain friends once he hits puberty, if he were neutered early enough you maybe able to retain their pair bond.

With Bertie being angora he will need to be housed indoors (unless you have a special outdoor set up for long-coated rabbits) and groomed daily. We appreciate that having an angora rabbit is a big commitment so we are keen to hear from anyone, even further afield, who is able to meet the needs of this breed. If you would like to offer him a home, with or without his sister, please get in touch.
