|Breed: Domestic Shorthair crossbreed||Age: 5 years (approx)||Sex: Male|
Colin is a 5-year-old stunningly handsome gentleman looking for a new home. Colin came into RSPCA care after spending many years living on the streets and being fed by members of the public. He came into our care with an eye injury, most likely caused by a fight with another cat. His eye was successfully treated and a hernia we didn’t know about was also repaired. Colin has also been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Colin is currently resident in our cattery where he is the current ‘dude’. There are going to be more than a few broken hearts amongst our staff and volunteers when he leaves us. He is a magnificent cat with long locks that will need regular grooming so it’s a good thing that Colin loves being brushed! He is a placid and tolerant chap who would make an excellent family cat.
Colin is still wearing a cone following his surgery and will sit patiently whilst we clean the bits of his fur he can’t reach. He especially loves having his face cleaned with a warm damp cloth! He spends a lot of his time reclining on a large bed waiting for visitors and will jump down immediately for a proper snuggle. Colin is a very large cat who loves his food. His new home will need to be a good size and he will need extra large everything: litter tray, scratching post and bed. A large lap or space on a sofa will also be necessary as Colin loves to cosy up as close as he can!
Colin is used to being outside so will need access to a safe space to explore once he is ready to go out. He will also need to be the only cat in the home. If you would like to meet Colin, please call us on 0161 882 0680 option 4. You won’t be disappointed!
