About Ember

Breed: Corn snake Age: Unknown Sex: Male

Ember is a lovely male corn snake that came into our care after being found in a park by a member of the public. It is unknown if he was an escapee that had gone astray or if he’d been purposefully abandoned. When he arrived in our care he was very underweight, had several scabs and was absolutely filthy.

Ember has been in our care for a couple of months, receiving some TLC and gaining weight. He has been health checked and faecal tested by an exotic specialist vet and has been given a clean bill of health so the time has come to find him a loving home!

As we have no history on him, we have no idea of his age other than he is an adult. Ember has a really lovely temperament. He is happy to be handled and enjoys time outside of the vivarium, but he can also be quite active in his viv and we regularly see him burrowing in his aspen or climbing his branches.

If you are interested in re-homing Ember please note the following housing requirements and also take a look at the Corn Snake care guide on the RSPCA website.

Ember will require a vivarium with a minimum length of 120cm x a height of 40cm x a width of 40cm, which will allow him to fully stretch out. He will require a thermal gradient of 28-30°C at the warm end and 20-24°C at the cool end. Temperatures must be controlled using a thermostat. Ideally, a 2-7% UV bulb should also be provided.
