8 week old Otis came into our care along with his parents and brother 6 weeks ago. They had sadly been abandoned when their owner moved out. The brothers were the best of friends until recently when poor Otis was picked on by his brother so much that we had to separate them. We subsequently tried reintroducing them but to no avail.
Otis is a quiet piggy compared to his cocky brother and confident father. He is used to being handled but you only really see his braves when it is veggies time, or at least when he reckons it is veggie time. He seems desperate for a placid adult male piggy pal to huddle up to so we are on the search for an adopter with an adult boar for him to live with.
Otis has been health checked by a specialist vet and has the all clear. Once old enough the branch will arrange for him to be castrated or a voucher of £60 will be provided. This is to ensure he can have a future living with either gendered piggies should he lose his companion.
Otis is used to living indoors in a 6 x 2 c and c cage. He is looking for a similar sized set up but we will consider a shed or garage type sheltered outdoor space too. If you have a lonely boar then please get in touch. We can give full advise on introductions including a step by step guide and support.
