About Salazar

Breed: Corn snake Age: 2-3 year (approx) Sex: Male
Salazar is a male snake who we estimate to be around 2-3years old. He was collected from a property by the RSPCA after his owner moved out and left him behind. Salazar has divided opinion on his exact breed. Some think he’s a corn snake and others think he may be a Corn/Rat snake hybrid. But everyone agrees he’s a very handsome boy. Salazar has been examined by an exotic specialist vet and is in wonderful condition.
Salazar eats well and is active in his viv. He loves burrowing in his aspen and climbing his branches. Salazar would be better suited to someone with a bit of experience of snakes. He can be a little flighty when being removed from his viv and is easily startled. He may not have been handled much in his previous home. He should become calmer with regular handling.
Salazar will require a vivarium with a length of 120cm x a height of 40cm and a 40cm, which will allow him to fully stretch out. He will require a thermal gradient of 28-30°C at the warm end and 20-24°C at the cool end.
Temperatures must be controlled using a thermostat. Ideally, a 2-7% UV bulb must also be provided.
